I'm so excited! Am going to Tokyo in September. Used freq flier miles, hoping for business class, but wound up in 1st class instead! Please send me advice... have worn out the internet, my wallpaper city guide, & lonely planet. Cannot wipe smile from face. So glad to finally have something *good* to look forward to this summer.

The wonderfuls at IDEO brought me a special gift from their homeland... a one-eyed sourdough bear, wrapped in plastic. I love him. Soon his tummy will be carved open & filled with chowder.

Just spent a couple hours with a staggering hangover, a croque monsieur, & the Sunday NYT. I might spend rest of day structuring my thoughts in the manner of these quotes culled from the paper.
